Keeping an Eye on the Bay

The history of CCCR demonstrates that any individual, with enough determination, can play an important role in protecting the Bay’s wetlands and wildlife. In fact, the Don Edwards SF Bay National Wildlife Refuge and thousands of acres of wetlands around the Bay are only protected today because of the efforts of countless volunteer leaders and our allies

But where do you start? Who are the agencies responsible for protecting the Bay, and what do scientists say need to be done in order to support the recovery of wildlife and help the Bay be resilient in the face of climate change and other threats?

This page is intended to provide resources for new Bay activists, and those interested in learning more about the laws, regulations and scientific road maps for the Bay’s protection.
